Russell Brand Will Collaborate With Naughty Boy On Rap Album
Aug 11th 2014, 09:01

By Rebecca Lawrence On August 11, 2014

Russell Brand must already have the most diverse CV in showbiz. And now the actor turned comedian turned author turned politician can add another profession to the list – rap artist.

The 39-year-old has always been a keen poet, but has recently decided that his words should be heard, not read.

And he's approached none other than La La La hitmaker, Naughty Boy, to help him out.

A source told the Sun, "Russell thinks it would be really fun to put some of the poems to music and asked Naughty Boy if he would get involved after getting to know him through his girlfriend Jemima [Khan].

"He will pick out some of his favourite quotes and go into a studio to record them. Naughty Boy is then planning to transform them into a spoken-word rap.

"It's all a bit of fun and there are no plans to release it as an official chart single as yet."

The unheard poems are being taken from Russell's new book, rEVOLution, which is due out in October.

And, unlike most rap songs, the themes are reported to heavily feature love and lessons he's learnt from past relationships.
