The X Factor is rumbling on through its initial audition stages tonight (August 31) but there are three acts in particular that have set Twitter alight because of their ever-growing, pre-existing fanbases.
The show has become a legitimate platform for up-and-coming, pre-packaged artists to become introduced to a broader audience, and tonight boybands Overload and Concept with boy-girl quartet Only The Young successfully impressed Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, Simon Cowell, Louis Walsh and Mel B and will progress to an Arena tryout.
But who are they, you cry?
Concept
Five-piece ladband Concept already have a mighty 89,000 followers on Twitter. They have music out on iTunes - 'Get Down', dated January 2014, '7Teen' (!) from December 2011 and 'Our Love' from July 2012. They have just under 10,000 subscribers YouTube, with a cover of Ariana Grande's 'Problem' racking up nearly 40,000 spins. Check it out, it's v bien.
Only The Young
Only The Young are formed of two guys and two girls, giving the first bit of good news to the mixed-gender pop act since Same Difference. They have 42,000 Twitter followers, 8,000 YouTube subscribers and their cover of Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines' has had a fabulously large 140,000 views. These guys could be really, really good, and we are definitely in the market for a new M/F pop act. At time of writing their audition video has Overload's picture on it, but hopefers that'll get fixed ASAP.

Overload
Overload have a stonking 150,000 Twitter followers and 31,000 YouTube subscribers; giving them the biggest fanbase of anyone auditioning tonight. Their 5 Seconds of Summer 'Don't Stop' cover has 70,000 views and they also have 57,000 Likes on Facebook. If they could make it to the Live Shows, they might just get a fair bit of traction.
