Yesterday, Britney Spears confirmed that she'd dumped David Lucado with a tweet reading simply, "Ahhhh the single life."
It came as a shock to many fans, as the couple had recently grown so close that it was rumored Spears and Lucado were engaged.
Britney and David Lucado seemed like the perfect couple. Where did it go wrong?!?
As more details emerged, we learned that Britney had found out about a videotape that proved Lucado had been cheating on her.
We now know that Britney's father purchased the tape to ensure that it will never be seen by the public.
But apparently, David's infidelity was so out in the open, that several witnesses have come forward claiming they can accurately describe the actions that ended his relationship:
"David had his hands all over this woman," one source tells Radar Online. "If I were Britney, I'd be very concerned."
Another onlooker added that Lucado and the mystery woman were "dancing all night" in a West Hollywood club and "seemed really into each other."
Of course, club-goers who recognized David that night will likely be the only ones to ever spill the beans about what really happened:
"David is prohibited from talking about relationship details or anything about Britney because he signed a confidentiality agreement.
So unless Ms. Spears one day opens up about what she saw on the tape (unlikely), we'll just have to assume that when it comes to picking an unfaithful, loser boyfriend...Britney did it again.
