Her new moniker has been a topic of conversation ever since she secretly tied the knot to her husband, Jean-Bernard, in July.
And while some fans have struggled to adapt Cheryl Fernandez-Versini's new surname, a source revealed that Cheryl doesn't understand why people seem to be having so much difficulty with the change.
Speaking to MailOnline, the source said: 'Cheryl does not understand why so many people have such a difficult time pronouncing her surname as the name is pronounced exactly as it is spelt'.

It has recently been reported that Cheryl felt the need to drop her marital surname due to people's inability to pronounce it properly.
However, the singer officially started using the moniker, Cheryl, for her professional career in 2012.
The X Factor judge released her number one single, Call My Name, with only her first name on the artwork and has continued to do so ever since.
A spokesperson for Cheryl told MailOnline: 'Cheryl's full name is Cheryl Fernandez-Versini, professionally she will be Cheryl.

Cheryl first revealed that she was now Mrs Fernandez-Versini via Instagram with an accompanying picture of her platinum engagement ring and diamond wedding band in July.
And during the London X Factor auditon on Friday, she revealed that she's on cloud nine following her recent marriage and pop success after her new single, Crazy Stupid Love, topped the UK singles chart last week.
She gushed: 'I'm really happy. I've had a great couple of weeks, I've had a number one record, the sun's shining – I couldn't ask for more to be honest.'

Meanwhile, her fellow judge, Simon Cowell, has tipped her for motherhood.
The X Factor star admitted that he is sure that his fellow reality show judge – who secretly wed French restaurateur Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini last month – will become a parent in the near future.
Quizzed if he and Cheryl have discussed kids at Wembley Arena on Friday, he said: 'I have actually, yeah. I think she's next. Louis [Walsh, fellow co-star] will be last. I wouldn't be surprised if she did.'
