His torrid affair with the best friend of wife Katie Price was exposed when she caught them enjoying a steamy clinch, but Kieran Hayler insists the whole truth only emerged after she ordered him to take a lie detector test.
The builder and part-time stripper's seven month fling with 49-year-old Jane Pountney was revealed during a sunshine break in Cape Verde, when Katie, 36, found them canoodling on a sunbed at 1am.
But while Kieran, 27, initially played down the incident as a drunken kiss, he was soon caught out when his furious wife – currently pregnant with their second child –employed the services of a lie detector analyst from The Jeremy Kyle Show when they returned to the UK.

'I promised Katie I would do a lie detector test,' he told The Sun's Sharon Hendry. 'It felt like being on death row in the electric chair.'
Kieran was wired up to the machine with two wrist straps, finger cuffs and a heat sensor – placed strategically under his bottom – before being asked a series of pre-drafted questions from the former glamour model.
'The questions were 1: Other than one time in Cape Verde, have you kissed Jane? 2. Have you ever had sexual contact with Jane? 3. Have you had contact with Jane since the holiday in Cape Verde?' he recalled.

With his body signals letting him down, the strapping builder eventually confessed that Jane had groped him while they were lounging together – but denied having full sex with the former British Airways hostess.
But Kieran admits suspicious Katie wasn't satisfied and, with the prompting of a counsellor brought in by his wife, decided to confess.
He revealed: 'Katie immediately told me she didn't want to be with me anymore and wanted a divorce – and that's when she started tweeting her anger.
'She was devastated and threw the nearest object at me. I had her autobiography aimed at my head as well as a large candle.'

Throughout their Cape Verde getaway Katie shared a number of pictures of herself and Kieran enjoying some quality time with their children.
It was their first holiday with baby Jett and Katie even uploaded a snap of herself with her little one.
She told her followers: 'First family holiday with baby Jett LOVING it here the weather so good to Cape Verde all the way'.
Katie posted another snap in which she reveals her pert derriere, complete with white tan lines, writing: 'Tanning my a*** off in Cape Verde'.
The media personality previously revealed in her column in Now magazine that she was planning a break, writing: ' As you read this, I'll be sunning myself on our family holiday.
'Oh and I haven't 'done a Helen Flanagan' and advertised my home as being empty. I have some housesitters keeping an eye on things!'

Katie befriended Jane more than 20-years ago following an introduction from her former pal's husband, businessman Derek Pountney.
Kieran, who says being bullied at school 'triggered' his recent infidelity, is now sleeping in the spare room of the sprawling home he shares with Katie while considering treatment as a means of repairing their damaged relationship.
