Mad Men's seventh and final season aired its midseason closer last night in the US, and one familiar face didn't survive it.
Obviously if you haven't seen the episode and don't want to know who bit the dust, now is a good time to stop reading.
The casualty was poor Bert Cooper, played by Robert Morse - which left the partners in a right pickle.

Also, Peggy (Elisabeth Moss) absolutely nailed a crucial pitch - using Neil Armstrong's moon landing, which was happening at the same time as the events of the episode, as her launch pad. Looks like Don taught her well!
Mad Men's seventh and final season is being split up across two years, so fans now face a long wait to see how this one pans out.
Ratings have been marginally down year-on-year, but the show remains popular among its core audience. At its peak, the season to date has landed 2.27 million viewers (for opening episode Time Zones on April 13); down on the 2.69 million who caught the sixth season finale and the 3.37 million who caught the last run's opener.
How do you reckon the series will finish up?
