X-Men: Days Of Future Past bagged $281 million worldwide in its opening weekend - the highest gross for any film in the franchise.
The latest film in the series stars Hugh Jackman, Ian McKellen, James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and of course Jennifer Lawrence, and stormed into cinemas across the world late last week.
Its global opening haul means it has nearly equalled the lifetime gross of the first X-Men movie back in 2000. That outing netted $296m in its entire time in cinemas; just $15m more than DOFP made in just a few short days.

The top-grossing film to date is 2006's The Last Stand, which made $459m around the globe, with $234m in the US alone.
Last outing, 2013's The Wolverine, made $414m globally, of which $132.5m was stateside.
It is thought that the new star power of Jennifer Lawrence has helped boost interest in DOFP; this according to a recent study by Fandango.
The film has received a generally positive, if a little mixed reception from critics - what did you think of it?
