The actresses are rumored to be feuding...
Jenny McCarthy is known for her outrageous and often outspoken personality, and the former co-host of The View is speaking out about the rumored feud between her and her cousin, Tammy actress Melissa McCarthy. Recent reports have claimed that Jenny and Melissa have not gotten along since Jenny made hurtful remarks about Melissa's weight early on in Melissa's career.
"Jenny told her she wouldn't make it because of her weight," a family source said recently told Star magazine.

In a new interview with People, Jenny denied ever making such remarks about her first cousin.
"There is a crazy story going around that I once told my cousin, Melissa, that she would have to lose weight in order to get into show business. Nothing could be further from the truth," Jenny told the magazine. "She has accomplished everything she has accomplished through hard work and her extraordinary talent, and I've only ever encouraged and supported and wished her the very best."
While Jenny did not comment as to whether she and Melissa get along, she did express her feelings about the situation.
"It's hurtful that people make up stories that pit not just families, but specifically women, against each other," she added.

Melissa has not addressed the story directly, but she did add fuel to the feud rumor when she recently told Howard Stern that she would not be attending Jenny's upcoming wedding to Donnie Wahlberg because she feels that she and Jenny live in two "opposite worlds."
Jenny has come to Melissa's defense multiple times when Melissa was attacked for her weight. When writer Rex Reed called Melissa "tractor sized" and compared her to a "female hippo," Jenny told E! News that, "She's very, very talented and people know that, so... He can go to hell."
