Kiefer Sutherland 'Wishes Freddie Prinze, Jr. The Best' Following 'Unprofessional' Accusations At Comic Con

Freddie said his experience with Kiefer made him want to quit show business...

Kiefer Sutherland has responded to claims from Freddie Prinze Jr that he was "the most unprofessional dude in the world," opting to take the high road rather than engage in another pointless war of words with the actor, expressing surprise at his co-star's accusations.

The two stars worked alongside each other for the eighth series of Fox's smash hit 24 in 2010, which according to Freddie, almost made him quit his career in acting, blaming Kiefer as to why he had to take a break from the lime light.

Both stars appeared at last weekend's San Diego Comic Con where Freddie made the startling revelations against 24's leading man but contrary to his "unprofessional" reputation, Kiefer's rep told Fox News: "Kiefer worked with Freddie Prinze, Jr. more than five years ago, and this is the first he has heard of Freddie's grievances.

"Kiefer enjoyed working with Freddie and wishes him the best." We have to admit, publicly blasting your former co-stars seems pretty "unprofessional" to us!

In a new interview with ABC News, Freddie, who took a two-year break from show business after making several appearances on the TV show 24, revealed that working with the show's star, Kiefer Sutherland, was such a miserable experience that it made him reevaluate his career choice.

"It was terrible. I hated every moment of it," Freddie said of working with Kiefer. "I just wanted to quit the business after that. So, I just sort of stopped [acting]. Freddie starred in 24 episodes of the show and the experience seems to have still stung the star who says: "Kiefer was the most unprofessional dude in the world," he said.

"That's not me talking trash; I'd say it to his face. I think everyone that's worked with him has said that." The actor who is over 6 feett tall says that Kiefer, who stands about 5 feet, 9 inches tall, would often make him do things to make it appear that the actors were the same height. Freddie claimed that he would have to take his shoes off when he worked with Kiefer.

"Just put the guy on an apple box or don't hire me next time. You know I'm 6 feet and he's 5'4."

This is not the first time Kiefer has been accused of being difficult to work with by another actor. In 2013, Shohreh Aghdashloo, who played a female terrorist on 24, admitted that she often clashed with Kiefer.

"I'm afraid working with him proved to be hard. That young man was pretty angry," she said during an interview. "At the end of the day, I thought he was angry with himself."
