Everyone should get off Wes Welker's ass about allegations he did MDMA during the Kentucky Derby ... so says "The League" star Paul Scheer who says the guy has earned the right to pop Molly!
"If I was a football player, I'd be doing Molly too," Paul says ... "makes the game way more exciting!"
The guy is hilarious ... and explains why he thinks a little molly every now and then might actually be able to help Welker's career.
Of course, Welker has denied the allegations ... and says he NEVER does drugs ... but Scheer says it doesn't really matter.
"Look, I feel like if you can play as good as Wes Welker ... you should do whatever you want."
