Jason Aldean and his long-term girlfriend Brittany Kerr are officially engaged after the country superstar popped the question to his girlfriend of two years, during the West Coast leg of his US Burn It Down tour. The couple have rustled more than a few feathers since meeting back in 2012 when they shared their first kiss. While we'd love to call it a fairytale romance from the get go, sadly Aldean was still married to his wife Jessica Ussery at the time.
It's not been an easy ride for the couple as the crooner has fought back from criticism surrounding the pair, but he recently admitted that enough was enough arguing that we should all move on! During a chat with Billboard magazine, he said: "It has been two years of this s**t - get over it, already! When I finally go get enough of it and say something, every newspaper grabs it. And I'm not trying to get in the headlines—I'm just trying to get people to stop running their mouths."
At the time, the singer admitted that he was ashamed by the couple's smooch, blaming the booze and holding his hands up to say that he had "screwed up". Nice! He went on to apologise for his scandalous behavior further, in a statement on Facebook, which read: "I ultimately ended up embarrassing my family and myself. I'm not perfect, and I'm sorry for disappointing you guys. I really appreciate being able to work through this privately with my family and for all your continued support."

He then spoke to E! News the following month to assure that he and Ussery, his then-wife, were continuing to fight for their marriage as he presumably brushed his fling with Kerr aside. Well two years later it's wedding bells again for Jason, who is now set to marry his 'mistress'. Rumours of an engagement have been circling for weeks, but now E! News have confirmed Jason Aldean and Brittany Kerr will in deed be getting hitched.
