Blake Shelton is ready to go all guns blazing for the next season of The Voice USA with the country crooner using his appearance on Jimmy Fallon last night to challenge his co-judge Adam Levine to a bit of healthy competition to see who will triumph at the end of the upcoming season.
The 'Hillbilly Bone' singer will be reuniting with Usher, Maroon 5 frontman Adam and new coach Gwen Stefani for season seven of the singing competition when it returns to screens on September 22 and it looks as though the friendly rivalry between Blake and Adam will be more fierce than ever, judging by the country star's fighting talk.
During his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday evening, the talk show host said: "I shouldn't say it, but you're the best judge ever," to which Blake replied: "I'm not trying to be but that is true. Adam [Levine] would have to win again just to tie with me." We'll soon find out who will rise to the challenge!
Blake, 38, and Adam, 35, are fierce frenemies and often enjoy winding each other up which has included some truly shocking pranks - remember when Blake leaked Adam's phone number on Twitter for all to see, prompting the 'Maps' singer to retaliate by dumping a heap of manure on top of his rival's shiny new pick-up truck during a live episode of The Voice. These boys don't exactly play softly!

Even Blake's wife Miranda Lambert revealed their friendly 'feud' gets a little out of hand sometimes, telling Billboard earlier this summer: "I texted Blake, 'Did you do that, did that just happen?'" in reference to his tweeting of Adam's number. "I'm guessing it was a publicity ploy, I don't know for sure. He wouldn't actually do that. Blake's pretty mean sometimes, but not that mean. He would have brought the wrath of Adam, because Adam has done some crazy s**t. He sent us a nine-foot-tall, seven-foot-wide cover of himself as People's 'Sexiest Man Alive,' he sent that to our house."
