Carrie Underwood Opens Up On First-Time Pregnancy: 'It's Kinda Weird'
Sep 26th 2014, 16:35

Carrie Underwood only recently announced that she is pregnant with her first child so it should come as no surprise that the singer finds it "kinda weird" to have a little person growing inside her, although she does admit she and her husband Mike Fisher are "excited" about starting a family.

The country star announced on September 1 that she and hockey player Mike will have a baby to keep them busy in around six months, although, it still hasn't sunk in for the parents-to-be. Carrie admitted during her appearance on the Today show: "It's still kinda weird, to be honest.

"Sometimes I'll be with my husband, [hockey player Mike Fisher], and it's like, I'm gonna be a mom. You're gonna be a dad. Is this real life?" It certainly is, Carrie! When asked what type of mother she will be, Carrie explained: "I have a wonderful mother, so if I can be even a little bit like that, we'll be good."

Carrie couldn't have announced the pregnancy in a cuter way, with the 'See You Again' singer posting a photo of herself with her two pet dogs wearing t-shirts with "big brother" and "big sister" emblazoned on the back. "In honor of 'Labor' Day, Ace & Penny would like to make an announcement. Their parents couldn't be happier…," Carrie told her Instagram followers.

That's not all Carrie has going on at the moment as she also announced she's got a greatest hits album on the way, which will feature her new song Something In The Water. "It's a joyous, uplifting song about changing your life," Carrie said of the song.
