Cameron Diaz and Jason Segal can't escape questions about the leaked nude photo scandal that has seen a long line of Hollywood stars, including Jennifer Lawrence, victims of a hacker. Why does this concern Jason and Cam? Their new movie Sex Tape includes some eerily similar plot details.
The stars play a couple who try to reignite the spark in their ten year relationship by making a sex tape, hilarity ensues when the vid is sent to their friends and family thanks to an iCloud fail. Completely coincidentally, the real life nude photo leak is thought to be down to a security breach on Apple's iCloud, although investigations are continuing.
During an appearance on ITV's This Morning today, to promote the UK release of their film, Jason was keen to point out that "the movie is about a couple who make a self-inflicted technology fail", but Cameron did have some stern words for the real life hacker.
Jason and Cameron star in new comedy Sex Tape
"Hopefully whoever has done it will be caught and made examples of," the actress told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield. "This can happen to anyone. If they can do it to this group of people then everyone is vulnerable to it. People need to really question themselves as well - how would they feel if it happened to them? This is a major violation."
Jason added: "What happened in real life is a terrible crime."
Sex Tape hits cinemas September 3rd.
