Amanda Peet needed to ask for a plus two for this year's Emmy Awards.

Stepping out on to the red carpet in Los Angeles, California, on Monday, with her husband David Benioff, the 42-year-old brought along a very special guest - the yet-to-be born newest addition to her family.

The star revealed she was able to reveal she was expecting her third child without saying a single word.

The Togetherness actress let her rather large bump do all the talking in a long floral dress that clung across her burgeoning stomach before flowing out.

The actress proudly turned to the side to show off her pregnant form, while her Game Of Thornes creator husband looked on before joining his pregnant wife for pictures.

Confirming the pregnancy to Us Weekly - not that she really had to considering she appears to be at least six months pregnant - she said her other two children, daughters Frances, 7, and Molly, 4, are excited to have a new baby brother or sister.

She said on the carpet: 'They're pretty excited. The older one is pretty excited, the middle one is not so sure.'

Amanda debuted her bump as her husband prepared to see how his other baby, Game Of Thrones, will fare this year.

In total the HBO hit is nominated for a staggering 19 Emmys, however, despite being a fan favourite it has historically not taken much gold home.

In fact, the show has not won a Primetime Emmy since 2011, when Peter Dinklage's won Best Supporting Actor in a Drama.
