Dwayne Johnson came very close to losing his mother and his cousin last week.
On Sunday, the actor posted a photo on Instagram of the wreckage that followed a horrific car accident from a few days earlier, one in which his mother and his cousin were slammed by a drunk driver.
But instead of growing irate over the frightening incident, Johnson grew sentimental.
"First reaction is to find the person who did this and do unrelenting harm to them," Johnson wrote as a caption to the first photo listed above.
"But then you realize the most important thing is my family lived thru this and we can hug each other that much tighter these days. Hug your own family tighter today and be grateful you can tell them you love them. #BearHugsAndGratitude."
Well said, Dwayne.
The nature of Johnson's relatives' injuries are unknown at this time, but we wish them a fully and speedy recovery.
The near-tragedy took place two weeks after a highlight of Johnson's career, as he walked the red carpet of the Hercules premiere with long-time girlfriend Lauren Hashian.
