And now she's released a shark themed perfume...
Although Sharknado and it's sequel, the aptly named Sharknado 2, have fast become cult movie classics, it seems one of its stars originally doubted it's success.
Tara Reid has seen her status elevated since the movie's release, but admitted that she feared the first film would end her career, after it's original name was change.
Speaking to Access Hollywood, she revealed, "When I first did it, it was called Dark Skies, so I thought, 'Okay, it's not gonna sound so bad on my resume… it'll be fine.'
"And then, all of a sudden, they're like, 'We're changing the name to Sharknado'. I said, 'Oh my God, this is it! My career is over'."

The 38-year-old then begged the filmmakers to change the name, as well as refusing to get involved in any promotional activity, but her protests were ignored.
"It was horrible," she admitted, "They said, 'Trust us, it'll work'."
And, luckily for Tara, it did.
Last week's TV premier of Sharknado 2 saw an 183% increase in viewers from the original, with many fans taking to social media to demand a third instalment.

And it's certainly proved to be a career boost for Tara, with the actress even releasing a perfume, 'Shark By Tara'.
Yes, we're being serious.
The new fragrance is described as "light and refreshing perfume perfect for day-to-day wear" with a "fresh and fun feel."
And it doesn't actually smell like shark, instead giving off hints of iced mint, violet and lemon.
