James Franco has called news site Gawker "homophobic" after they published a story, speculating he was in a relationship with close friend Scott Haze. Franco is currently appearing in theatre production City of God, directed by Haze.
On the back of an article published by the New York Times, Gawker ran a story about Franco and his friendship with Haze, in which they claim: "Theirs is the kind of relationship—somewhat ambiguous, seemingly gay, probably romantic—that almost always sends The New York Times into a bizarre moral panic."
Franco always has something to say about media coverage and joked about the Gawker article in an Instagram post, he wrote: "GAWKER - always getting the cutting edge, homophobic scoop!!! Go see CHILD OF GOD in theaters and see me direct my live-in boyfriend, SCOTT HAZE!!! Love you SCOTT!!!! http://gawker.com/james-franco-is-living-with-a-man-1616908548,"
He posted it along with a picture of the friends together:

We're pretty sure two guys living together, whatever their sexuality, doesn't mean their dating. It also doesn't mean their dating if they've known each other for a long time or have worked together, it just means their friends.
Just four hours before James also mocked claims he's dating Lana Del Rey, because the singer came to see him in his play. Joking that they pair are dating.

Short memory people, we know that James is single and ready to mingle, because he was trying to pick up teenage girls on Instagram just a few months ago. Remember the pretty Scottish 17 year-old, who got offered a hotel hook-up with the 127 Hours star, but instead posted his offer to social media?
