J.K Rowling has reached out to a young fan who quoted Harry Potter at the funeral of her family.
Cassidy Stay, 15, was the sole survivor of a shooting on July 9th that killed her parents and her siblings. And only three days after the massacre, Cassidy spoke at a memorial service, where she quoted a line from the popular fantasy series.
Wiping away tears, she said, "In The Prisoner of Azkaban, Dumbledore says, 'Happiness can be found even in the darkest times if one only remembers to turn on the light'."

And now, after a social media campaign was started to get the author to meet Cassidy, J K Rowling has contacted the teenager in the voice of the fictional headmaster, sending a handwritten note in purple ink.
She also sent a wand, an acceptance letter to the wizarding school Hogwarts, a list of school supplies and a signed copy of the book.
A spokesman for the 49-year-old confirmed the author had made contact with the fan, and said that the contents of the letter will remain private.

The famous line by Dumbledore, played by Sir Michael Gambon, appears in the film adaptation of the novel, the Prisoner of Azkaban.
However, the line itself is credited to writer Steve Kloves who transformed all seven books into screenplays.
