Azealia Banks Debuts Brand New Track 'Chasing Time' - LISTEN
Sep 23rd 2014, 14:09, by Becca Longmire

Azealia Banks has unveiled her brand new track Chasing Time, taken from her upcoming album Broke With Expensive Taste, after the recent release of her latest single Heavy Metal And Reflective.

Azealia played Chasing Time at her recent London gig, but she's now finally debuted the full studio version, with the new track proving that the artist is now back and ready for business. Despite the latest song not being given a release date as of yet, no doubt there will be one very soon!

Azealia, who played Brixton Academy on Friday night (September 19), may have hit headlines for her feisty ways in the past, but she has kept herself on the down low recently. The singer spoke to the Standard ahead of her London performance to admit that despite parting ways with Polydor, she's still determined to make her music career work, although she is "disappointed" in the industry as a whole.

Never one to hold her tongue, Azealia said: "It wasn't so much of a clash of ideas, it was more someone with an agenda trying to get me to do what they wanted me to do.

"That's fine — I'm sure you can find tons of people who can do what you want them to do, but that's not what I do," Banks then said of the industry at the moment, adding: "I'm not going to be like 'The Illuminati' or anything, but there's definitely a certain group of people who say yes or no, and if you're not in with those people then you don't get across to the public. Things happen on purpose — for example they release a single and don't promote it.

"That part of it is really discouraging and really heartbreaking. So I just went back into my own cave, just wanted to make music and now I have to fight to get my music heard. I kind of just feel the powers that be slowly trying to stamp my fire out."

Well, that fire has certainly not been stamped out yet! Give Chasing Time a listen below:
