Zooey Deschanel may seem like your typical girl next door but the actress actually has a completely different view towards settling down, hinting that she's not ready to have a baby yet or – at least – let her plans to start a family "define" her as a person.
The New Girl star divorced Death Cab For Cutie frontman Ben Gibbard in 2012 after three years of marriage and without having children, and it seems Zooey doesn't exactly miss the constant speculation over when she would have a baby of her own.

"When I was married, that was the first thing people wanted to know," Zooey told the new issue of InStyle magazine.
"Like every woman is dying to give birth! I don't think so. Nobody asks a guy that. And you go into a supermarket and every tabloid is like, 'Pregnant and Alone!' Stuck in this 1950s ideal of how a woman should live her life. That's not something that defines me at all.'"

Zooey, 34, is currently dating screenwriter Jamie Linden and somehow she's managed to keep their relationship out of the spotlight and it doesn't look as though she's ready to start sharing anytime soon.
"You have to be careful what you reveal. You invite people in and can't kick them out," Zooey said when asked about their romance.
