She teased fans with her pole dancing skills during a segment on her new reality show.

And as she appeared on Alan Carr's Chatty Man in an interview to appear on the programme on Friday night, Lindsay Lohan once again decided to show off her moves on the pole.

Wearing an embellished LBD and monochrome stiletto heels, Lindsay swung around on the pole before handing over to Carr to give him an opportunity to have a go.

Speaking previously about the benefits of pole dancing, Lindsay said: 'It's actually a really good workout.

'It's really empowering for women to get to know your body and yourself. I liked doing that kind of work out and I sweat more doing that than I do doing yoga, or getting on a treadmill, or anything else.'

During her interview with Alan Carr, to promote the UK premiere of her self-titled series on TLC, Lindsay also spoke candidly with the flamboyant host about media scrutiny, rehab and subsequent recovery.

Referring to abstinence, Lindsay was vague when asked how many days had elapsed since her last drink – but admitted she'd suffered a setback since leaving residential treatment in 2013.

'I don't know – a long amount of time,' she said.  'I mean there was a point on the show when I was in a relationship with someone and I like had a drink and I freaked out and didn't want to say anything on the show as I didn't know how that would come across and I was just scared.

'And that's when it kind of hit home that I was doing a docu-series, and I was like you know what, I'm honest and I'm open and I've never really hid anything, unfortunately there are some things I would've like to have kept hidden have been out there.'

While she harbours regrets, Lindsay hopes the no holds barred nature of her new series will resonate with viewers.

'It felt good to put something out there that people could possibly relate to,' she said. 'And that's why I was happy to have this docu-series as it could help people.'

The former child star started filming her new show shortly after leaving rehab, but the constant media scrutiny her past antics have generated was no preparation for the daily presence of cameras – and she admits to feeling apprehensive about jumping into it so soon.

'I did think that for a minute as I kind of panicked and thought, wait, I need a few minutes by myself as it was overwhelming,' she said. 'But it was good for me to be on a schedule and having to be diligent and showing up and present and on time.

'But at first, yeah, it was really scary. I didn't realise it was going to be how it was either; I'd never done something like that. Cameras around constantly.'

Alan Carr Chatty Man airs on Friday April 25 at 10pm on Channel 4.
