Britney Spears to Gwen Stefani: Try on My Lingerie!!
Sep 25th 2014, 14:49, by Free Britney

Britney Spears, having already made it known that she would love to see Kate Middleton in lingerie items from her new line, also has a backup plan in mind.

The 32-year-old entertainer is making the global rounds to promote her new underwear collection and was again asked what star she'd love to model it.

Kate Middleton, Britney said ... or Gwen Stefani!

  • Stefani, Gwen
  • Britney: Work, Bitch!

"I'd love to see Gwen Stefani modeling my collection," Brit said, adding of the No Doubt vocalist and The Voice coach, "I think she's very cool and sexy."

While many fans would no doubt love to see Gwen (or Kate, or Britney) in intimate items made to be ripped off ... people say Brit ripped them off.

In a difference sense. Earlier this summer, Beverly Hills boutique store Addiction Nouvelle Lingerie accused the pop star of stealing their designs.

Now ANOTHER company is alleging the same:

London-based Playful Promises (great name) posted a photo comparing the 32-year-old's Intimate items to their own well-established offerings on Facebook.

The brand wrote on September 11:

"Really worried that the new Britney Spears lingerie range's branding might have copied our Playful Promises branding as it looks really similar to me!"

That was two days after the single mom's Intimates line launched here in the U.S., and fans of the popular UK brand seemed to agree with her.

"Does look similar, but hers looks like a cheap copy!" said one. "Well that's just rude," added another, and they may be onto something there.

The black corset design and cursive script used in Spears' logo also appears to be similar to Playful Promises' logo, though she'd likely say otherwise.

There's a fine line between copying and being inspired by or merely similar to, although does anyone really think Britney designs her own stuff?

In any case, we'll have to wait and see if either of the aforementioned brands take action against Spears and her team for this alleged infringement.
