Having got caught out on yesterday's offering of Good Morning Britain, presenter Susanna Reid has begun to question what constitutes a sexual innuendo. Perhaps she should have a word with the stars of the Great British Bake Off...
In case you missed it yesterday, former Downton Abbey star Dan Stevens appeared on Good Morning Britain to talk about his new film, The Guest. Interviewing the actor, who played the role of Matthew Crawley in Downton, Susanna innocently asked: "You must have had to beat off a lot of American men to get this part."
The double meaning wasn't lost on Dan who could barely stifle his laugh as he tried to answer the question. Not understanding the hilarity of the question, Susanna innocently asked it again which only created more laughs in the studio.
Just take a look.
Having finally understood the effect of what she said, Susanna reassured fans this morning that she wasn't going to be saying anything else racy. She tweeted: "Morning! No accidental innuendo for me today. I'm on a train. #ff @benshephard @CharlotteHawkns @SeanFletcherTV @Lauratobin1 @ranvir01 @gmb."
However, airing on the side of the caution, the former BBC journo then joked: "Please don't tell me what "I'm on a train" also means."
Oh Susanna!
