'They Were In Deep Discussion': Jennifer Aniston 'Sparks Friends Reunion' Rumours As She Meets Up With Lisa Kudrow And Courteney Cox
Sep 25th 2014, 16:07

Monday marked 20 years since the first episode of Friends, and it appears that we weren't the only ones feeling nostalgic as Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow and Courteney Cox were spotted meeting up earlier this week. And as a result of their union, the rumour mill has gone in to overdrive about the possibility of the cast of the hit sitcom returning.

Commenting on what Jen and co were up to, a source told the New York Post's Page Six: "They looked like they'd just come from a meeting. They seemed very friendly and they were in deep discussion." Not to kill anyone's hopes or anything, but the three ladies who played the roles of Rachel, Phoebe and Monica, could have easily been talking about the weather or their other halves, seeing as nearly every single member of the cast - at some point - have dismissed the idea of there ever being a reunion episode of Friends. Sorry but it's the truth!

It was only recently that Courteney Cox declared that the cast had no plans to come together again for a show. She told On The Red Carpet: "We are way too old to be showing what we look like from that to that. No, we're not doing one."

However, a reunion could have taken place if she'd gone along with the idea that ex-husband David Arquette, as she said: "David Arquette used to have a great idea and he said, 'What if you guys do an episode of Friends every Thanksgiving," she recalled. "Just come back for that one week to say what is everyone doing in the last year. And we didn't listen, we didn't do it, so now it's too late."

Despite there being no plans to reunite, Jennifer spoke fondly of her time on the show when she appeared on ITV's Good Morning Britain and said: "It's quite lovely. It's nostalgic. It represents a period of time that really adorable. We were all so young and wide-eyed and bushy tailed. It was really a lot of fun."

The actor who played Gunther, James Michael Tyler also spoke about his first day on set, telling the breakfast show: "I remember the first episode I walked on the set and there were these people walking around and joking and laughing, they acted as though they'd know each other since they were children."
