Garth Brooks Is Back! Singer Kicks Off Comeback Tour In Chicago
Sep 5th 2014, 08:45, by Becca Longmire

Garth Brooks not only announced his comeback track People Loving People this week, but he also returned to the stage last night, with fans chanting "You came back! You came back!" as he kicked off the first night of his tour in Chicago at the Allstate Arena.

The country crooner has a huge fanbase and they were all ecstatic yesterday as he made his comeback, after spending more than a decade away from the music industry. Not only did Garth wow crowds with his new track, but he also worked his way through his back catalogue, blasting out hits like Rodeo and The Thunder Rolls, ABC News reports.

Thanking his fans, the 52-year-old said: "I could not ask for a better start than this, people," joking that he was now 107 years old, adding that he "can't sing like this for 11 nights straight."

A lot of this week has been all about Brooks, with him also launching his own digital music service after deciding that the current online music stores, including iTunes and Amazon, just didn't really "fit how he wanted to do it".

But rather than moaning about the state of the distribution of music in 2014, the Tulsa born megastar has taken the matter into his own hands, unveiling GhostTunes.com before kicking off his much-hyped tour.

The new site opened with the singer's complete back catalogue including the pre-order of his new 2014 and 2015 albums for a mere $29.99.

In a news release, Brooks explained: "When I decided it was time to 'go digital,' I didn't find an existing way that really fit how I wanted to do it. I shared my dream with some amazing minds and together have created something really special."
