Bestival 2014: From The Weather To The Jam-Packed Line-Up - Here's Everything You Need To Know
Sep 4th 2014, 11:56, by Becca Longmire

It's hard to believe that festival season is already coming to an end, but festival lovers are set to see out the summer in an amazing way, as they hit the Isle Of Wight this weekend for Bestival 2014.

Kicking off tonight, with a bunch of parties going on in Club Dada, it's certainly set to kick the weekend off in style, as the festival will see the likes of Basement Jaxx and Outkast take to the stage.

Here's a few things that you need to know about this weekend:

When is Bestival taking place?

It kicks off on Thursday September 4 and finishes on Sunday September 7, with thousands of festival goers (including EntertainmentWise) hitting Robin Hill Country park, near Newport, on the lovely Isle of Wight.

If I'm camping - when can I set up my tent?

The campsites opened at noon today and usually close at around 4pm on Monday (September 8) - but, with the music going on from around 11am until 5am every day, don't expect to get too much sleep! For all campsite info click here.

If you don't fancy driving, you can swim!

People kayak, row and even swim, across the Solent for charity every year, to the festival - so, if you don't fancy hopping on a boat and don't mind getting a little bit wet, this may be the option for you...

The weather (pray for sun)

Bestival may have been rather wet last year, but this year it's set to be dryer, despite being grey and overcast.

Those travelling across today can expect a rather smooth journey, with temperatures even expected to peak at 20 degrees. Tomorrow is set to be dry again, according to forecasts, with some sun, despite the majority of the skies being grey.

This is pretty much going to continue throughout the weekend - however, on the up side, NO RAIN. Apparently...

And with that all out of the way - let's get to that all- important line-up. Here are our five must-see acts this weekend.

1. Outkast

This headline act hit the Main Stage on Friday, just before 10pm. After they spent years apart, Outkast hit Coachella, earlier this year, for an eagerly anticipated comeback. Definitely ones to watch!

2. Chic feat. Nile Rodgers

Check these guys out, also on the main stage, on Sunday at 9.25pm. Following Nile's work with Daft Punk last year, he's certainly wowing those festival crowds and will make sure that the main stage finishes up on a high!

3. Basement Jaxx

The much-loved DJs are going to be hitting the Big Top at around 1am on Sunday - talk about giving the festival an amazing send off.

Sam Smith is also set to take to the stage (WENN)

4. Disclosure

This duo, who are currently taking the music industry by storm, are going to be playing the Main Stage before Outkast tomorrow night (September 5).

5. Major Lazer

These guys are going to be be appearing on the Main Stage, before the headline act on Sunday.

Other acts that are set to perform this weekend include Sam Smith, London Grammar, Chvrches and Clean Bandit. Check out the full line-up here.
