President Obama is remembering Robin Williams for his commitment to America's troops overseas and to our citizens here at home.
The President said, "He made us laugh. He made us cry. He gave his immeasurable talent freely and generously to those who needed it most -- from our troops stationed abroad to the marginalized on our own streets."
Robin did multiple tours with the USO through the years.
Prez Obama also gave a shout out to Robin's breakthrough role in "Mork and Mindy" ... "He arrived in our lives as an alien -- but he ended up tough every element of the human spirit."
