Aug 8th 2014, 20:30, by TMZ Staff Lance Bass is super excited to perform at the Opening Ceremonies of the 2014 Gay Games this weekend ... just don't ask him what goes on there ... cause he has no clue. Outside BOA in Hollywood Thursday ... Bass told us he's looking forward to playing his new song live for the first time at the huge event in Cleveland.  But it appears Bass did not do a ton of research about the Games. You gotta see what happened when our photog asked him about his favorite events.  Get your mind out of the gutter -- the Games are totally SFW.
