Orange Is The New Black features a number of salacious hook-ups and love affairs but for one of the cast members, true romance has found its way to them as actress Samira Wiley appeared to debut her relationship with one of the show's writers, Lauren Morelli, at last weekend's 2014 Emmy Awards.
After attending the star-studded awards bash in Los Angeles on Sunday night, Samira, 27, was seen leaving an Emmys after-party held at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood later that evening and the message couldn't have been clearer as she walked hand in hand with girlfriend Lauren.
While they have attended industry events together in the past, and hugged on the red carpet at the Variety and Women In Film Annual Pre-Emmy party on Saturday, it's the first time Samira and Lauren have showed any type of intimate PDA at a public event. Over the last few months, speculation about their romance has grown due to some of their Instagram posts which has included Samira naming Lauren as her Woman Crush Wednesday while another snap posted on Lauren's Instagram account features Samira kissing her tenderly on the head.

Lauren, who was previously in a heterosexual marriage, recently revealed that she actually realised she was attracted to the opposite sex when she began working on OITNB. "I realised I was gay in fall 2012, one of my first days on the set," Lauren wrote in an essay for Policy Mic. "It wasn't so much one thing, but the sum of many small details: how uncomfortable I felt around groups of lesbians or how I considered myself (shrug) a 'not very sexual person.' When considered alone, these seemed like little quirks that made me me."
Possibly referencing Samira, Lauren added: "I went through it all on set: I fell in love with a woman, and I watched my life play out on screen. And now, as we are gearing up for the release of season 2, it feels liberating and appropriate to live my life in front of you."
