The wait for the new series of The Great British Bake Off is almost over and to mark its move from BBC Two to BBC One, BBC Two's official Twitter page decided to pay a tribute to the super successful show.
And frankly, we found it HILARIOUS!For the past four years, the white marquee, Sue and Mel, the bakers, Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood have all been plodding along quite happily on BBC Two until last year, when it was announced that the show would be moving to a new home on BBC One.
Marking GBBO's impending departure from last night, BBC Two's Twitter told its followers a little story:
"As Bake Off is going to @BBCOne tomorrow, tonight is technically our last evening with the programme. We went for a farewell dinner. #gbbo....We'd set up a marquee under the late summer sun. Candles flickered like fireflies. A gentle breeze politely pushed past the heat."

Excuse us while we wipe away a tear!
Assuring their sister channel that GBBO would be well taken care of BBC One wrote this in reply:

But we weren't the only ones to notice the tweets as GBBO judge Paul Hollywood also got involved with the love in by reassuring BBC Two that he would never forget GBBO's time on the channel.
@BBCTwo @BBCOne of course not ♥️

As BBC Two got emotional, BBC One were on a pun high as they brought out all the baking related puns they could, including this classic: "Everybody, rock your body right. Bake Off's back TONIGHT! Throw your cakes up in the air. Knead your dough like you just don't care..."

Look who's back! (BBC Pictures)
We're going to go as far as saying we prefer this version to the Backstreet Boys' one...
Whilst we're going to enjoy settling in to watch the first episode of the new series, we're also going to be thinking about the fact all the bakers had to audition TWICE!

Who doesn't love a bit of tug of war? (BBC Pictures)
Along with the fact that they had to present two of their bakes, the bakers then had to go through a screen test and finally an interview with a producer of the show. But that wasn't all as they then had to bake in front of Mary and Paul.
And whilst we'll get our GBBO for an hour each week, filming for each show actually takes two days and falls on the weekend. Oh yeah, we forgot to mention that the bakers can spend up to 16 hours a day filming. Someone pass the chair!
