Liam Payne could become a baker if the whole singing thing doesn't work out. It turns out that the One Direction star is a fan of cake decorating. The 20-year-old visited Carlo's Bakery also known as the famous bakery owned by Cake Boss's Buddy Valastro.
Liam was joined by his girlfriend Sophia Smith as the two them took part in some cake decorating. Liam decorated a blue cake, while Sophia decorated a pink and purple cake.

Apparently, the visit was a complete spur of the moment decision.
"It was totally unknown," Adam of Carlo's Bakery revealed to E! News. "He tweeted at Buddy, and then he called the bakery [about coming in]."
Liam wasn't just there to look around however. Perhaps wanting to get the full experience, he actually went behind the counter and helped customers.
"He put on a Carlo's Bakery shirt, and he came behind the counter and helped out some customers," Adam stated, and then added that Liam also "took photos with fans and signed some autographs."

Unfortunately for Liam, because it was so last minute, he didn't get to meet Buddy. However, that didn't stop them from having fun.
"They were just there to have fun," Adam explained. "Totally spur of the moment. They didn't get to meet Buddy, Buddy is overseas, but they met his sisters. With Liam there it was pretty crowded, it added another level of hysteria. We had a lot of fun. The bakery loved having him."
One Direction are currently on the North American leg of their Where We Are tour.
