Miley Cyrus and The Flaming Lips Cover The Beatles' 'A Day In The Life' (WATCH)
Apr 11th 2014, 11:17

Miley Cyrus has teamed up with The Flaming Lips once again for an epic collaboration and this time, they've attempted to cover The Beatles track 'A Day In The Life' with the 'Wrecking Ball' singer taking on Paul McCartney's verse.

Clearly not deterred after angering fans last month when they recorded a cover of another Beatles track 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds,' Miley and The Flaming Lips have returned to the studio once again to try their vocals at the 1967 track which featured on the iconic band's 'Sgr. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band' album.

In an Instagram video posted by Flaming Lips frontman Wayne Coyne, Miley can be heard singing the beginning of McCartney's verse in her husky voice.

"Woke up ..fell out of bed.. dragged a comb across my head.. Yep!!!! @mileycyrus singing the Paul McCartney bit on A Day In The Life!!!!! Yesss!! Thanks @NewFumes Almost done mixin !! Gon beeee rad!!!!! If ya love The Beatles and John Lennon you gonna love this!!! #freaks #floyd#beatles #srgtpeppers #theflaminglips#lovemoneyparty #dogsmusicfriends #drugmusicthatdestroyshate," Coyne wrote with the video.

It's yet to be revealed when both 'A Day In The Life' and 'Lucy In The Sky With Diamonds' will be available for download, however, they may want to reconsider as fans were outraged when they announced they had covered the latter song.

One Twitter user branded The Flaming Lips "sellouts" while @carlwatkins said: "@waynecoyne How dare you work with musicians I don't like. You owe it to me personally to never change & never make new friends. ever. :P."

@hilllye also said: "It pains me to even think about The Flaming Lips working with Miley Cyrus. Whyyyyyy?! #makeitstop."
