When one door closes, another one opens for Simon Cowell following the announcement that his entertainment company have teamed up with SFX Entertainment and T-Mobile for a new show.
However, unlike the X Factor, Ultimate DJ will revolve around booming electronic music culture and will showcase and cultivate fresh new EMC DJ/producer talent and creative event production skills.
But don't start making room in your TV schedule just yet as the competition will begin online first and will feature producer-challenges where DJs will be invited to submit recordings for fan voting via social media.
Live challenges will then be dished out as well as live performances in SFX event venues.

Speaking about the new venture, Simon said: "We have been developing this concept for a while but our partnership with SFX has been a real game-changer for this format. It made complete sense for us to collaborate with SFX with their access to the best up-and-coming DJs and their great marketing platform to build new DJ talent.
"And I'm delighted to have T-Mobile on board with their brilliant vision and innovation."
"We look forward to working with Syco and SFX to showcase and promote a fresh, new generation of DJ/producer talent," said John Legere, president and CEO of T-Mobile.
