Haven't You Got A Wedding To Get To? Game Of Thrones Star Natalie Dormer Runs The London Marathon
Apr 13th 2014, 12:49

Her character on Game of Thrones is about to get hitched to King Joffrey but Natalie Dormer was enjoying an altogether different activity this Sunday as she competed in the London Marathon.

The 32-year-old actress was spotted taking part in the gruelling 26 mile course this morning, alongside thousands of other runners. Dressed for the sunshine in an army style cap, black leggings and a purple top, Natalie seemed in good spirits as she did some warm up stretches in front of the cameras before setting off.

The British star is running in the world famous event on behalf of children's charity Barnardo's and has somehow managed to cram in some practice whilst filming The Hunger Games: Mockingjay in Atlanta.

"It has been frantic but the crew have been very supportive," she told the Daily Telegraph. "Filming starts very early when I imagine a lot of marathon runnings are getting in their training before work so I have just been running whenever I can."

When she's not shooting scenes with Jennifer Lawrence and co for The Hunger Games, Natalie is busy playing King Joffrey's bride-to-be. With the big wedding taking place for US GoT viewers tonight, the actress has told Vulture that she doesn't want to see her character have too much power once she's got hitched.

"I think she'd be happy to be the power behind the throne, whether that's through controlling Joffrey or having children, but I don't think she necessarily wants to sit on the Iron Throne itself".

"People who sit on it end up having sticky ends, don't they?"
