Has David Walliams just put himself in the ring to become Bruce Forsyth's replacement on Strictly Come Dancing? Well it appears so when the comedian told Alan Carr that he'd be "interested" in co-hosting the show with Tess Daly.
Despite his alliance with Simon Cowell, David expressed his views when Alan Carr asked him what he thought about Bruce's exit on a pre-recorded interview for his Channel 4 chat show, Chatty Man.
Having been asked by Amanda Holden if he would like to take over from Bruce, David responded with: "Well I'd be interested if they offered it to me but they haven't! I think they should annoy Brucie by getting someone older, like Yoda! It's a great show but very difficult filling the shoes of someone who is legendary entertainer."

However, Alesha who famously defected from Strictly to BGT, revealed that she would like to see Claudia Winkleman to join Tess Daly. She said: "I think Claudia and Tess should do it together. Two girls together, it's never been done."
And on the subject of TV talent shows, Alesha also dismissed the claims that she was going to be a judge on the X Factor.
Insisting that she isn't "jumping ship", Alesha went on to add that she found the speculation about her joining the show with Cheryl Cole and Simon "awkward".
