Britain's Got Talent: Popular Boyband Collabro Compared To 'A Musical Theatre One Direction': Do You Agree?
Apr 14th 2014, 10:36

Collabro wowed the audience and judges on Britain's Got Talent over the weekend with their performance of Stars from the hit musical Les Miserables. And now the five piece consisting of Matthew, Jamie, Tom, Michael and Richard look set for super stardom following the claims that they have been compared to "a musical theatre One Direction."

With their audition having played out on the first episode of the new series, the boys chatted to ITV about how well they were received.

Admitting that they wanted to get approval from Simon and that they wanted to start recording professionally straight away, Michael said: "Saturday night was the first time we had heard Simon say 'There's a hit record right there'. That's what we really want – I was thinking quick, get into the studio!"

Collabro impressed the judges on Saturday night (ITV Pictures)

"Simon shared their journey with them and it would be amazing if he wanted to share our journey too", commented another member of the super talented band.

But do you agree with the comparison? Do you think Collabro are the musical theatre's answer to One Direction or do you think they are completely separate?
