Both stars were in attendance as Nirvana were inducted into the Hall of Fame by R.E.M.'s Michael Stipe and went on to perform alongside Lorde and Joan Jett as a tribute to late frontman Kurt Cobain, Courtney's husband.

It seems that the high spirits of the event was enough for Courtney and Nirvana star Grohl to clear the air once and for all after years of bad blood between them and a number of highly publicised rows.
When Nirvana rocker Krist Novoselic said of Courtney's touching speech about Cobain: "Nice words from @Courtney tonight," she replied: "Back at you and Dave @KristNovoselic incredible evening, xx."
She added: "If I skip the party It's just coz I'm tired- love you guys in my crazy way @KristNovoselic #hatchetburied #deepintheground."
Confirming the end of their long-running feud with a photo of their genuine hug, Courtney said: "The most magical part of the evening. Thank you Dave, love you. I know this made him smile up there."

Speaking about coming face to face with Grohl and his Nirvana bandmates at the Hall of Fame, Courtney told Access Hollywood in February: "Well, we're going to the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame and I think we're all sitting at the table."
When asked if she thought it would be "awkward" to see him after so many years of feuding, Courtney said: "Yes. I'm no hashtag Yoko."
