Zayn Malik has revealed that he was once given family planning advice by none other than recovering sex-addict, Russell Brand.
The One Direction member penned the experience in the band's new autobiography, Who We Are, where he recalled meeting the notorious ladies man after performing at the 2012 London Olympics.
"Backstage at the Olympics was one of the maddest times I've had with the band," he said. "These crazily famous people were coming up and talking to me. All my life I'd seen them on TV and here they were just chatting away to us."

But things got even madder for Zayn when he had his first encounter with the comedian and activist backstage at the closing ceremony.
"Russell was brilliant. He was saying, 'Your performance was sick.' Then he started giving me family planning advice!" the 21-year-old admitted. "I was like, 'Russell, you shouldn't be giving me that sort of advice!' He was hilarious, a really nice guy."

Fellow band member, Harry Styles, also opened up for the book, with an extract published by The Sun on Sunday, revealing that the star suffered from confidence issues when they started out.
"I'm naturally a fairly confident person in most situations, but not all," he admitted. "At that point, any natural confidence I had was being taken over by nerves because back then I had no idea how to channel and control my anxiety."

But the curly-haired hottie was soon able to conquer his fear, and has now turned his pre-show jitters into a strength.
"One Direction have always been a band that gigs heavily, so over time I've been able to learn about nerves, to understand why and when they might hit and, best of all, how to control them." he said.
"Now I know that if your nerves are controlled correctly, it can actually give you a bit of an edge, an extra sense of focus."
