A four-piece swing boy band progressed to the next round of Britain's Got Talent on Saturday night after judge Amanda Holden compared them to Michael Buble.

The 43-year-old panellist heaped praise on male quartet Jack Pack, made up of Adam, 28, Alfie, 24, Andrew, 32, Shaun, 32, who thoroughly impressed her and fellow judges David Walliams and Alesha Dixon with a sensational performance of Frank Sinatra's That's Life.

After their audition, Amanda said: 'We've got boy bands and we've got opera but we don't have anything like this. We've got Michael Buble but we need something from Britain.'

Music mogul Simon Cowell, who also sits on the panel, wasn't there to hear them sing as he was with partner Lauren Silverman while she gave birth to their son Eric on February 14 when the auditions were being filmed.

Despite this, David told the four-piece that Simon would have loved them.

He said: 'It's fantastic, a swing boy band. Simon would be very excited about you if he was here.'

During the group's rendition, Alesha mouthed to Amanda that she 'loved' the swing group.

The audience clapped throughout their performance and then gave them a standing ovation, which the judges also joined in with.

Alesha told them afterwards: 'I just love you guys.'

They were given an easy four yeses before embracing Ant and Dec and celebrating.

As well as the four-piece, several other acts received four yeses including supermarket worker Eva Iglesias, 40, who burst into tears when she was put through to the next round and admitted she nearly didn't audition because she'd had her heart broken earlier in the week.

However, for all the good there were also some more unfortunate acts such as Joey James, who failed to progress to the next round mainly due to his singing and his ventriloquist dummy made from paper.

Impressionist Jenson Zhu made it through despite Simon insisting he was the worst impressionist he has ever 'seen or heard' on the show.

Dancer Kieran Lai, 17, was far more to Simon's liking and his place didn't ever seem in doubt as soon as he launched into his first moves.

He did a dance performance called The Tin Man which thoroughly impressed the audience and had the judges smiling throughout and later earned him four yeses.

Afterwards, David said: 'David said: 'Brilliant concept, you're a brilliant dancer. Those moves are out of this world. It was faultless.'
