'I Peed My Pants Everywhere': Lea Michele Suffered Embarrassing Moment Before Singing For President Obama
May 30th 2014, 19:20

You would imagine that singing on a world-famous TV show like Glee for the past five years and being a former Broadway star would rid you of any singing nerves you might have but that doesn't seem to be the case for Lea Michele after the TV star revealed she was so nervous before singing for President Obama that she peed herself!

The singer was referring to the time she had to sing at Obama's inauguration last year and it seems it wasn't quite as sophisticated a moment as you might have presumed.

The 27-year-old admitted on E!'s Chelsea Lately that she was so nervous about performing at the event with the rest of the Glee cast that she asked her best friend, Looking actor Jonathon Groff, to help her get a grip.

Although the ask didn't just ease her nerves, but her bladder too!

"He was my date and decided that the best thing to do before I went on to sing for the president was to make me laugh so hard that I peed my pants, like, everywhere," she said.

When Chelsea asked if the incident resulted in Michele having to change her underwear, the Glee star admitted the situation was a whole lot worse than that.

"Oh, we had to change the bed," she said.

But the evening didn't seem to end too badly however as the singer - who has just released a new book titled, Brunette Ambition - admitted pinching herself a little souvenir from the White House - some presidential toilet paper because it had an official seal!

Peeing herself wasn't the only revelation Michele made on the show though, after she admitted she started drinking as a toddler!

Michele said: "It makes me seem crazy," before adding, "I'm Italian, so at the dinner table it would be like Pellegrino, a jug of soda and a huge thing of wine. Everyone was just drinking wine, like it was part of what you would have along with your dinner.

"Growing up, I'd be having dinner with my boyfriend and his parents and I'd be like, 'Where's the wine? Pass the wine.' At like 17! And they're like, 'This girl's crazy.'"
