Morrissey Knocked To The Ground By Stage Invader At San Jose Concert (WATCH)
May 8th 2014, 15:11

Morrissey was given a huge shock at his show in San Jose this week when an over-eager fan rushed on stage to greet the singer, only to end up toppling him over in the middle of a song.

The 54-year-old was singing 'One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell' in San Jose, California, last night when a number of fans began running onto the stage to give the British singer a warm hug which he seemed to appreciate for the most part, even laughing at one point.

However, what was a genuinely lovely moment quickly turned sour when one fan got a little too excited and hugged Morrissey too hard while he was still singing the song, eventually knocking him over.

Security guards rushed onto the stage as soon as Morrissey and his live band stopped playing, although it's not yet known if the singer was injured or if the fan was apprehended by security.

Morrissey is currently promoting his forthcoming album 'World Peace Is None Of Your Business' which is expected for release sometime in July.

It will be the crooner's first album since 2009's 'Years of Refusal' which reached number three on the UK charts.
