Simon Cowell has suffered another flop, as the musical I Can't Sing! will be closing production.
The show, based on The X Factor and written by Harry Hill and Steve Brown, will be drawing it's final curtain at the London Palladium in just two weeks.
It's closure comes just a few weeks after Cowell's cookery show, Food Glorious Food, secured Syco's lowest ever ratings for a launch show.
Over: I Can't Sing! The Musical will be drawing it's final curtain in just two weeks after disappointing ticket sales
Another flop: The musical, which Simon's company co-produced, is his second recent failure after securing his lowest ratings ever for launch show in the first broadcast of Food Glorious Food
The Mail On Sunday reported that the musical, starring former EastEnders star Nigel Harmon as Simon, was suffering disappointing ticket sales. The musical opened at the Palladium to mixed reviews and stalls have rarely been more than two-thirds full.
A source said: 'The Palladium was half empty last Tuesday, and that's not the first time. Sales have been incredibly disappointing, particularly given the show is still in its first month.'
'The cast can't keep playing to a theatre that is only two-thirds full,' the source said. 'If sales don't pick up, that could be it.'
No performance has been sold out since the run began last month after being delayed twice by technical difficulties.
Stage Entertainment and Syco Entertainment announced the closing of the show on Saturday 26th April, as I Can't Sing follows in the footsteps of the failed Spice Girls musical Viva Forever!
Rebecca Quigley, CEO of Stage Entertainment UK, said: 'We are sad to be bringing I Can't Sing! to a close but are immensely proud to have co-produced the show. The West End can be an unpredictable place as the closure of a number of high profile productions recently has shown.
'I Can't Sing! has had audiences on their feet night after night, four and five star reviews from the critics and an amazing company and creative team, but it seems that isn't always enough.
She added: 'To open any big musical, and particularly a brand new British musical comedy at the London Palladium, is no mean feat and hundreds of dedicated people have played a part in bringing this unique and wonderful show to the stage. I thank every one of those people and the audiences who have come to see the production.'
Half-empty: At none of the shows was their a full house, despite the references to current X Factor judges Louis Walsh - pictured with I Can't Sing! star Ashley Knight - and Simon
Nigel Hall from Syco Entertainment, said: 'From the moment Harry Hill and Steve Brown told us their idea for I Can't Sing we knew this was going to be a fun project.
'Alongside Stage Entertainment we'd like to thank the cast and crew who have worked so hard on this show. To everyone at Really Useful Theatres and the ever supportive staff at the London Palladium, and everyone involved in I Can't Sing!
He added: 'I'd like to say a huge thanks and the very best of luck with their next venture.'
Ticket holders with seats booked for after Saturday May 10th should contact their original point of purchase for a refund.
MailOnline have contacted Simon Cowell's representatives for comment.
