Liam Gallagher sent Oasis fans bonkers this week when he spelled out the name of the band on Twitter, prompting a flurry of speculation that the group could be reuniting to headling Glastonbury Festival.
However, organiser Emily Eavis has spoken out on the matter - confirming to a Twitter follower that the band will not be playing.
"Please deny that Oasis are playing Glastonbury before tomorrow's ticket resale," asked a potential festivalgoer.

She replied: "@TheToneWill oasis aren't playing this year."
Yesterday hopes were dampened when talkSPORT host Andy Goldstein told his followers that he'd sent a text to Noel Gallagher asking if he was getting back together with brother Liam.
"I just text Noel asking about the chance of reforming ...his reply " There's more chance of me and my ex-wife getting back together" So no," he relayed.
2014 marks the 20th anniversary of the Britpop giants' debut album Definitely Maybe, and a reissue is slated for release in the coming weeks.
