Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan has been sacked after eight years on the hit BBC1 show, according to reports and the pro dancer's wife Ola could quit in protest.
The Sunday People report that Strictly favourite James was told on On May 8 that he was not being invited back as one of the show's main dancers, and instead was allegedly offered a low-profile job as a backing dancer.
James and his wife Ola, who also competes as a pro dancer on the show, reportedly have a joint £60,000 annual income from Strictly, but Ola is threatening to quit the show following James' alleged sacking, according to the report.
"The BBC have decided they don't want James as a high-profile dancer this year. They have taken a look at who they have and who fits the bill best", a source has told the Sunday People. "Frankly the BBC are sick of the James and Ola show. He's fuming. He very much sees himself and Ola as the stars of the show and can't understand why he hasn't been invited back".

"He has spent years working with them and feels he has given so much. This has come as a real shock to him. To say it all kicked off would be an understatement. This really has not gone down very well at all."
The couple have been in negotiations with Ola said to be unsure about her own return, despite reportedly being offered a role as a main dancer for the new series. According to the report the gorgeous blonde says she feels "safer" when James is on the show - particularly after the bullying drama last year with fellow pro Karen Hauer. Ola was said to have been left in tears after Karen told her she was a "rubbish dancer" but was persuaded to stay in the show, where she reached the semi-finals with Hollyoaks star Ashley Taylor-Dawson.
With Karen reportedly invited back this year, Ola is said to be scared to return without the back-up of her husband.
"Ola loves Strictly but she is in a real quandary", the insider claims. "She and James are a partnership. So for one to do the show and the other not is strange and sad for her."
A BBC spokesman has told the paper "We don't comment on speculation and the line-up will be announced in due course", while neither James or Ola has commented on the reports on their Twitter pages.
