Lorde, Nirvana Perform "All Apologies" at Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony
Apr 11th 2014, 11:02, by Free Britney

Seventeen-year-old sensation Lorde was among four female rockers who joined Nirvana at the grunge band's Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony last night.

She joined the living members of Nirvana on "All Apologies," one of many memorable songs by the music pioneers who disbanded after Kurt Cobain's suicide.

Watch her perform along with bassist Krist Novoselic, drummer Dave Grohl and guitarist Pat Smear as the group was officially granted musical immortality:

In addition to Lorde, Joan Jett sang "Smells Like Teen Spirit," Kim Gordon took on "Aneurysm," and St. Vincent performed "Lithium" along with the rockers.

While those three had previous relationships with the band, Lorde was not even born by the time they broke up. However, Novoselic is a fan of hers.

Krist played a unique, instrumental rendition of her song "Royals" on his favorite instrument of late, the accordion, at a performance for his Fair Vote campaign.

Nirvana was enshrined in its first year of eligibility.

Along with them, Peter Gabriel, Hall and Oates, Cat Stevens, Linda Ronstadt, The E Street Band and Kiss joined the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as well.
