It looks like Jamie Dornan won't be the only hottie on The Fall anymore following the announcement that Merlin's 'Colin Morgan has joined the cast.

The actor who was best known for playing Merlin in the fantasy adventure series, will be taking on the role of DS Tom Anderson in the new series of the gritty drama that has already begun filming.

The BBC Two drama which also stars X Files star Gillian Anderson, will see Morgan's character become involved in the hunt for serial killer Paul Spector played by Dornan.

However, fans may have to wait a while before they see morgan as the actor will make his appearance in the last three episodes of the BAFTA nominated drama.

Speaking about his new role, the talented actor said: "I'm delighted to be joining the cast of The Fall for what is going to be an exciting and gripping second series. Allan Cubitt has written exceptional material and I feel very privileged to be working with him and the very talented cast."

As news spread of Colin's new role, it didn't take long for his fans to share their excitement on Twitter with one fan posting on the social networking site:

"Omg omg @xredsexydevilx I promise I will watch the fall now… #ColinMorgan."

Ecstatic with Jamie and Colin being on screen together, another fan noted: "Colin Morgan and Jamie Dornan let me DIEEEEEEEEEEEE!!"
