The Voice UK Finalists Slip Further Down The Charts As Kylie Minogue Quits
Apr 12th 2014, 14:40

The finalists from last week's finale of The Voice UK have slid further down the midweek charts ahead of tomorrow's countdown, with Kylie Minogue's departure adding more bad press to the BBC show.

The popstar coach announced yesterday (April 11) that she definitely won't reprise her judging role on the show in 2015, citing her upcoming Kiss Me Once tour dates as the reason.

Meanwhile Jermain Jackman, who won the show last Saturday night under the mentorship of will.i.am, has slid even further from his No50 midweek placement on Wednesday (April 9).

Furthermore, runner-up Sally Barker had managed to creep into the Top 40 with her spin on Olly Murs' 'Dear Darlin'' at No35 at the halfway stage - however, with it then dropping to No39 by Friday's update, it seems unlikely that she'll be able to cling on and land in the Top 40 when the final end-of-week rundown is unvieled by the Official Charts Company on Radio 1 tomorrow (April 13).

Last year's winner Andrea Begley managed to peak at No30 with her cover of 'My Immortal', while runner-up Leah McFall scored a Top 10 smash earlier in the series with her unique play on 'I Will Survive'.

Back in the first series, Leanne Mitchell ended up peaking at No45 with her cover of Whitney Houston's 'Run To You', which won her the title. Her subsequent debut album, which was released almost a year ago, missed the Top 100, while Begley's made the Top 10.

Do you think Sally Barker can clutch on to a Top 40 finish? Or will all of this year's finalists miss the mark?
