Surprise appearances were clearly the theme for the first weekend of Coachella Music Festival last night with Justin Bieber joining his pal Chance The Rapper on stage for a performance.
The 'All That Matters' singer wasn't scheduled to appear at the music festival in Indio, California, but of course that didn't stop the heartthrob stopping by unannounced anyway to join his hip-hop star friend Chance The Rapper during his own performance.

While the packed-out audience were already buzzing from Chance's set, it was thrown into a frenzy when Biebs, 20, stormed the stage and began showing off some very Michael Jackson-esque footwork before hugging his 'Confident' collaborator.
Justin's appearance may have been a surprise, but the pair wore equally dodgy outfits with the 'Believe' star wearing a white bucket hat and Chance, 20, donning a pair of dungarees without a shirt underneath.
Teasing fans earlier in the day, Justin hinted at his plans tweeting: "What am i up to today?? ;)," later adding after the deed was done: "That was fun" and posting a video clip of his impromptu performance.
Justin wasn't the only star who had the genius idea of turning up unannounced though as Beyonce infiltrated younger sister Solange Knowles' set to perform a dance routine they learned during their childhood while Jay Z and P. Diddy joined Nas on stage on Saturday.
Gwen Stefani and Snoop Dogg appeared alongside Pharrell Williams over the weekend while Janelle Monae also joined Outkast on Friday.
Perhaps Justin was keen to meet up with on/off girlfriend Selena Gomez who was spotted mingling in the crowd and watching performances with friends yesterday.
