Miley Cyrus has given away her puppy Moonie after just a week. The Wrecking Ball beauty was given the pup by her mum following the death of her beloved dog Floyd, but according to the heartbroken star it was just "too soon," to have another pet.
The animal lover, who had to call off dates last week on her Bangerz tour after falling ill, took to Twitter to explain why she was giving Moonie away so soon.
The 21 year-old wrote: "Moonie, thank you for giving me so much love, comfort, & peace. It's just to soon for me right now #missingmoonie."

Replying to fans who were concerned about the dog, Miley explained where the pup had gone: "my friends mom who has a tiny pup 4 him 2 play with Molly... After wht happened Im scared 2 have a tiny dog #moonieandmolly."
When another fan wrote she was glad Moonie was happy, Miley added: "& SAFE! That's the most important part of loving a puppy. They depend on you."
Cyrus was on tour when Floyd, her favourite dog, passed away. Miley made several tributes to the dog during her shows after the sudden death and sang to an inflatable version of the pup.
Let's hope she feels better soon!
